Every year there is a Ecumenical

Remembrance Day service at church to remember all war veterans from the First World War and subsequent wars.

Over the past years, our schools have participated in this service by reading a small passage. This year the royal British Legion has once again invited pupils from St. George´s and St. James´s Schools, to take part in this important ceremony.
The Royal British Legion is an organisation that raises money for war veterans and their families who have suffered due to war. Every year, our schools supports the Royal British Legion by selling poppies here at school. Year 5 pupils will be selling poppies at pick up time from the 4th of November.

This is a ceremony of great importance and it is an honour for SJS & SGS to continue to participate in this event.
